Oh COVID-19 is bad.
It is really bad.
However, it is not as bad as the black plague.
This is because it has happened at a time when there is a better advancement in medicine and medicinal studies.
We understand diseases better today and can suggest protective measures unlike the days of the black plague.
We also have more self-sufficient countries that can address pandemics in their own ways, even in Africa.
That is why the COVID-19 is not so widespread in Africa today, it may be just better methods of handling the crisis that have made a poor continent take care of itself.
The COVID-19 should not make us lose hope for a better tomorrow.
In as much as it has been terrible, we are better equipped for it than our poor brothers and sisters during the days of the black plague.
We can defeat this, together.
Let us stay strong.
