COVID-19 has taken almost two years of our time as a country. In this, there have been some setbacks experienced in our economy such as: Loss of jobs, Collapse of multinational businesses in the country, Loss of lives and loss of properties. This has been a toll on the Vision 2030 for the country.
However, we are now in the second quarter of the year 2021 and things look better as much as there are several reports of a third wave of COVID-19. There are some positive results that exist now which lacked at the onset of the COVID-19 such as, an introduction of a vaccine and more tolerance to the virus itself.
These should be enough to encourage us that we can still move forward and reset our Vision 2030. We do not have to postpone it as we are 8 and half years away plus at least 2 months. That is enough time to get back on track and achieve the changes that we wish to achieve as a country. These are: sustainable environments, more job opportunities, better living conditions, improved infrastructure and better healthcare.
“Time does not have to change us but we can change how we will ourselves change with time”.Henry’s Care Initiative
Let us get back to work and not lose hope for tomorrow surely is another day. We must do our best to ensure that we do not lose sight of the target focusing much on the COVID-19Wjhere there is a will, there is a way and where there is a way, there is hope. Let us build ourselves, let us build our country.
